Last Saturday, a very brilliant Nigerian guy simply
identified as Daniel graduated with honours in
Mech. Engr with Math minor.
The efiwe (brilliant guy) turned his graduation
ceremony to a surprise proposal corner when he
suddenly popped the question of a lifetime to his
British girlfriend in his dad, father, sister and
friends’ presence.
Daniel claimed he got the idea from his blood
sister.
Of course the lady said YES.
Not sure exactly where this happened because it

Nice one!

Kogi State University Professor’ s Son Killed During Robbery Operation In Ayingba

The son of a popular Professor in Kogi State
University has died during a foiled robbery
operation in Ayingba town.
While parading the other suspects, Kogi state
commissioner of police, Seidu Madawaki said the
suspected robbers were alleged to have gone to
rob at “White House” Phase 11 Lodge in Ayingba
when he met his untimely death..
According to the CP, the police, had received a
distress call and raced to the scene of the crime
to rescue the victims only for the robbers to
engage them in a fierce gun battle, which resulted
in the killing of the professor’s son.
The police boss said other members of the gang,
seeing that the professor’s son was fatally
wounded immediately carried him from the scene
of the attack to an uncompleted building where
they wanted to call for medical attention but he
later died as a result of severe bleeding.
While answering questions from newsmen, one of
the gang members, confessed that they were cult
members, who were misled by one of their
colleagues to go and rob and that the deceased
was the one that first shot the police before the
police retaliated.
Madawaki also paraded two suspects for illegally
vandalising NNPC pipelines and scooping crude
oil.
Items recovered from the suspects include six
assorted rifles, 40 handsets, unspecified amount
of money including Korean currency and other
dangerous weapons.
The police boss said that as soon the police
conclude their investigation, the suspects would
be charged to court

Genevieve Nnaji On Why She Is Still Single “I’ m A Born Catholic Dt Hates Divorce”

In a recent interview, Nollywood actress
Genevieve Nnaji speaks up on why she remains
unmarried several years after the delivery of her
daughter.
The mother of one said her greatest fear is
divorce. She planned to stay married for long.
Genevieve also raised the issue of forgiveness in
marriage and talked about her ideal man.
Interview excerpt:
“As for marriage, it’s every woman’s dream to get
married. We can’t lie to ourselves. I do want to
get married but overtime I have had opportunities
to get married but I realize getting married is not
actually the problem. The problem is finding
someone you are compatible with because…
“I’m born Catholic, I’m raised Catholic, I don’t
believe in divorce. If I get married, I really want to
stay married and staying married is not an easy
thing. It means you are completely in tune with
your partner. It means you’ve found your soul
mate because you’ll have to be able to stand a
lot of disappointments that would definitely come
but then again you have to learn to forgive.
“For me, before I choose a partner I have to ask
myself if this is the kind of person I would be
willing to forgive no matter what when the time
comes. If the answer is no, then that person is
wrong for me. That person is not the person you
want to get married to. If you know you can look
into someone’s eyes and say yes, this is the most
you can do to me. If you actually cheat on me the
first time, I can find it in my heart to forgive you.
If you can answer that question honestly and
truthfully to yourself then you’ll know if that
person is your partner or not.
“So compatibility is the word aside from the
physical attributes that have to go with it. I need
to be comfortable because I’m a woman and I’m
used to a certain lifestyle.”
Genevieve Nnaji who turned 35 on the 3rd of May
2014 has been linked with several men in the past
including D’banj.

2Face Idibia: Annie & I are “Still Babies in Marriage” on Love, Bleaching & Rumours

Music superstar 2Face Idibia is the cover star
of OK! Nigeria Magazine ‘s new issue for May
2014. 2Baba as he is fondly called, rocks a
tartan single button blazer, a white shirt and
cream pants.
In the all exclusive interview, 2Face speaks on
his wife Annie Macaulay-Idibia , his family and
marriage, music, bleaching and the biggest
rumour about yourself.
Read excerpts exclusive on BellaNaija.com;
On married life and having a baby in the house
again : “So far so good. We are still babies in the
marriage institution so we are taking it easy. We
are learning something new every day within our
marriage. Having a baby in the house has
definitely changed some things. I can’t do some
things I used to do like go out and not come
back home the same night. Prior to having
a baby in the house, I could just go to a friend’s
house and stay the night. But now I have to
take permission (laughs). It has definitely
grounded me. It is a good change though and I
don’t miss the old days at all.”
On if marriage has changed anything about he
and Annie’s relationship: “Definitely! We
understand and tolerate each other more.”
On what makes Annie marriage material and the
union so special: “Wow. I guess because she’s
good peoples. That is the only one sentence I
can use to describe her. I hate the way she
knows me so well.”
On why he didn’t go the Fela route and have 18
wives: “(Laughs) One woman alone is a lot of
trouble. Having 18 is a suicide mission. But I will
consider it. I will talk to Annie and ask her if she
can compromise (laughs).”
On DJ Xclusive saying Nigerian men prefer light
skinned ladies: “I think that is his own
preference. He can’t just generalise like that. In
Nigeria, there are men that like big women and
some that like skinny women. Same way I know
so many guys that
only go for dark skinned women, and being light
skinned is a turn off for them, I also know some
men that prefer light skinned women. Most of
the women that I have dated are dark skinned
so I guess you can say that is my own
preference, which is good as my wife is actually
dark skinned too, so no worries there.”
On praises from fellow artistes: “I feel honoured
and privileged to be referred to as a legend.
But at the same time it puts so much pressure
on me when I am performing and releasing new
music as expectations can become too high. I
just want people to keep an open mind. When
you hear new music from me, treat it like you
are listening to me for the first time, so there is
no pressure.”
On another profession apart from
music: “Maybe I would be a goal keeper for a
football team somewhere (laughs).
On his craziest fan encounter: “This girl tried to
touch the guy downstairs. It was very alarming.”
On the funniest/biggest rumour about himself :
“Probably has to be the rumour that I had died. I
started getting calls from friends that “Oh boy
they said u don die”. So I am sitting there like
really? I am dead? Death is no joke but I just try
to make light of rumours like that.”

Boko Haram Threat : Why Are Nigerian Prophets & Pastors Silent ??

It is stale news that Nigeria is under the siege of
terrorism. Armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism,
murder are now routine occurrences so much so
that many people have lost count of the number
of victims. Even though incidence of crime is
nationwide, that of the Northern Nigeria,
particularly North-Eastern states of Borno, Yobe
and Adamawa is particularly more troubling. The
insurgent group popularly called Boko Haram has
been wreaking a lot of havoc on the residents of
the aforementioned states since 2009. As I write
this, the abduction of over 200 girls from
Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno
State since April 14, 2014 has dominated the
media, be it traditional or social. The
#BringBackOurGirls advocates are dominating the
social media. The Nigerian government has been
trying to restore peace and order in the
insurgents’ hot spots but if the truth must be
said, our military seem overwhelmed due largely
to a number of factors such as inadequate
funding, corruption, sabotage and politics.
Heartwarming, therefore, is the offer of assistance
from some foreign governments such as France,
the United States of America, China and the
United Kingdom.
As the Nigerian government battles the insurgents
without much success, I am tempted to ask,
where are the prophets in Nigeria? Where are the
celebrated “Oracles of God”? I mean the General
Overseers, Pastors, Evangelists, Reverends,
Bishops, Archbishops, and other titular religious
leaders who always lay claim to know the mind of
God? I ask again, where are our miracle
merchants? Where are our own Prophet Elijah,
King David and Moses? It will be recalled that in
the Biblical account of 1 Kings 18, Prophet Elijah
confronted the 450 prophets of Baal and defeated
them on Mount Carmel. Also in the Bible,
according to 1 Samuel 17, a young shepherd boy,
David, removed the reproach of the nation of
Israel by killing Goliath. The account read that
after 40 days of taunting and mocking of Israel’s
army by Goliath and the armed forces of
Philistines, David with a mere sling and stone
killed Goliath. It is also on record in the book of
Exodus how God used Moses to deliver the
Israelite from their generational bondage in Egypt.
If these Biblical accounts are not fictional stories;
if they did happen as we are made to believe; if
truly God is immutable and capable of doing all
things as He said in Luke 1 verse 37, then, it is
time to see live practical demonstration of His
omnipotence through the works of His anointed
servants in Nigeria. This country has a
bourgeoning Christian population especially in the
Southern part. Though it may be true that Boko
Haram insurgency has been happening mostly in
Northern Nigeria, our Christian leaders need to
rise up against this menace before its tentacles
spread to the South. I cannot imagine the
devastating effect of a terrorist attack on any of
our religious camps on the Lagos-Ibadan
Expressway or anywhere else where hundreds of
thousands of worshippers gather for weekly,
monthly or annual programmes.
Just imagine clerics like Pastor Enoch Adejare
Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of
God, Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed
Evangelical Ministry, Bishop David Oyedepo of the
Living Faith Church, Pastor D.K. Olukoya of
Mountain of Fire Ministries, Prophet T.B. Joshua
of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor
Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy, Bishop John
Praise Daniel of the Dominion Chapel
International Churches, Pastor Paul Enenche of
Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor W.F.
Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Bible Church and
several others jointly or individually challenging
Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram, to a
spiritual duel like Elijah of old did. Just imagine
what the defeat of Boko Haram and other terrorist
groups by Christian leaders will do to the growth
of Christianity and restoration of peace in Nigeria.
Not only will Christians be able to worship God in
harmony, evangelism will become a piece of cake
as many non-Christians will readily believe and
accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. Will our
Christian leaders seize the moment to
demonstrate their much talked about God-given
spiritual prowess?
Why am I recommending this duel between
Christian leaders and Boko Haram? Watch the
latest video released by Abubakar Shekau. He
made no pretence about his hatred of Christians
and has promised to extend his reign of terror to
Southern Nigeria. Our Christian leaders had better
act to check these merchants of death and
sorrow before they succeed in putting the
Christian fold, and indeed the entire country, in
disarray. I am not unmindful of all the prayers
and fasting that have been declared and observed
by Christians for the restoration of peace in
Nigeria. The efficacy of these spiritual measures
is not in doubt, but in addition, Christian leaders
need to act, take action as directed by God.
According to news reports, Chibok, where over
200 girls were abducted on April 14, is a
predominantly Christian community in Borno
State. About 180 of the kidnapped girls were said
to be Christians. Should our spiritual leaders
continue to play the ostrich about the potent
danger posed by terrorism to their fold and the
nation, they may wake up one day to minister to
empty churches when the congregation may have
become too scared to attend services.
Already in Lagos and a few other places in the
South, dare-devil armed robbers have been
reported to successfully raid some churches
during services, and a couple of child kidnap
cases have also been reported. Some of these
happened during the day while others happened
during vigil services. I know many of the church
leaders claim to have divine mandate to make
disciple of all the people. It would be great to
demonstrate that by winning the soul of Shekau
and his cohorts. It is time our religious leaders
deployed their spiritual arsenals to the fight
against terrorism which is an ill-wind that blows
no good to the nation in particular, and the world
in general.

How 2 Students Escaped Being Beheaded By Ritualist In Gboko Benue State

Two teenagers recently escaped death in the hand
of a ritualist inside a forest in Gboko Town, Benue
state Nigeria.
The 13-year-old JSS II student of Government
Secondary school in Gboko and another student
of Gboko High School were kidnapped by a
commercial bike operator in Makurdi and taken to
a forest.
The father of one of the victims, Mr Ephraim Maor
said he took his son to a motor park in Markurdi
where he boarded a vehicle to Gboko to resume
school.
“I had put him in the commercial vehicle which
had other passengers and was heading to Gboko,
a trip that was less than 80 kilometres from
Makurdi.
“I gathered from my son that when they were less
than five kilometres to Gboko town, at Yandev,
the driver said his vehicle developed a fault.
“He said, at that point, most of the passengers
opted to board other vehicles, but the driver
urged my son and another female student of
Gboko High School to wait for another vehicle he
contacted to take them to their destination.
“Few minutes later, a Toyota Hilux van came and
the two of them were asked to board the vehicle,
but on getting to their destination, the driver of
the van refused to stop. The occupants of the van
tied up the children and blindfolded them.
“My son said they were taken to a forest in Gboko
where the kids were tied to the ground and
presented before an aged woman in a shrine who
wanted to behead them for rituals, but later
changed her mind.
“At this time, my son said they were crying and
begging for mercy, then the woman handed a
machete to one of the kidnappers, instructing that
they should be killed on their way back.
“However, by divine intervention, the kidnappers
did not kill them as instructed, but dumped them
at Apir on the outskirts of Makurdi, where a good
Samaritan picked them up.”
The elated father said he had already reported the
matter to the police while the second victim was
handed over to the police in Makurdi, where her
parents picked her u p. – Mr Maor concluded

Lucas Moura named on Brazil's seven-man World Cup standby list

Brazil has named its list of seven players who will
be on standby for this summer's home World
Cup, with Lucas Moura the star among the
backup options.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has already named his
preferred 23-man selection for the tournament,
but has now confirmed the list of those who will
be held in reserve should any late changes to the
squad be required.
Atletico Madrid defenders Filipe Luis and Miranda
are in the seven-man list of backups, as is
Bayern Munich right back Rafinha.
Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva, Paris Saint-
Germain winger Lucas Moura and Sao Paulo
striker Alan Kardec have also been asked to be
ready if called upon.
Fluminense goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri rounds off
the list and will step in for the tournament if there
are any issues with Julio Cesar, Jefferson or
Victor.
The announcement means some of the notable
absentees from the original squad, including
Kaka, Robinho, Ronaldinho and Philippe Coutinho,
have not even made Scolari’s top 30 for this
summer.
Brazil has warm-up matches against Panama
and Serbia before it begins its World Cup
campaign against Croatia on June 12.
Brazil standby list: Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Alan
Kardec (Sao Paulo), Lucas Moura (PSG), Rafinha
(Bayern Munchen), Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid),
Miranda (Atletico Madrid), Diego Cavalieri
(Fluminense).

This Galaxy S5 Prime concept shows how gorgeous a metal Samsung phone could be

Although we don’t know exactly when
Samsung’s Galaxy S5 Prime will release, we at
least have a sweet new concept video that will
whet our appetite for the rumored metal version
of Samsung’s flagship phone. The new concept,
designed by My Gadgetic, imagines a new device
that delivers the best of both worlds: Samsung’s
beautiful displays matched with the HTC One
(M8)’s incredible build quality . In fact,
stylistically the concept borrows so much from
HTC’s latest flagship phone that we get the
feeling HTC would rush to phone up its lawyers if
Samsung ever released anything like it.
Not only does the concept use the two major grey
and silver colors we see in the One (M8) but it
also gives the imagined Galaxy S5 Prime a
camera that doesn’t bulge out from the back of
the device, a more curved rear shell and a front-
facing speaker on the top of the device that
seems wider than the one on the Galaxy S5. My
Gadgetic even removed the home and back keys
from the front of the display, just as HTC did with
its latest device, and has added a stripe going
across the top of the rear shell of the device, just
as the HTC One (M8) has.

Scientists May Have Finally Pinpointed What's Killing All The Honeybees

Where have all the honeybees gone?
A new study seems to strengthen the evidence
linking pesticides used on crops to colony
collapse disorder in honeybees.
Colony collapse disorder, or CCD, is a
phenomenon in which honeybees inexplicably
disappear from their hives. The bodies of the
dead bees are typically never found.
Researchers led by Chensheng Lu of Harvard
University have pinpointed the collapse of
honeybee colonies on a class of pesticides
known as neoniotinoids — insecticides that also
act as nerve poisons and mimic the effects of
nicotine. Scientists specifically looked at how
low doses of two neoniotinoids — imidacloprid
and clothianidin — affected healthy bee hives
over the course of a winter.
The results of the study "reinforce the conclusion
that sub-lethal exposure to neonicotinoids is
likely the main culprit for the occurrence of CCD,"
the authors wrote in their paper, published May 9
in the Bulletin of Insectology.
Disappearing Bees
Colony collapse disorder was first widely
reported in America in 2006. Since then, a
complex web of factors has been attributed to
the mass honeybee die-offs, including everything
from disease, parasites, and poor nutrition to the
stress of being trucked around the country each
year to pollinate different orchards.
Many scientists have theorized that a
combination of these factors with exposure to
pesticides could be causing the CCD
phenomenon.
In contrast, the new study found that long-term
exposure to small amounts of neonicotinoids
wasn't compromising the bees' immune
resistance to pathogens — the hives had just as
many infections when they weren't exposed to
pesticides. This suggests that "neonicotinoids
are causing some other kind of biological
mechanism in bees that in turn leads to CCD,"
according to a release.
The Experiment
In October 2012, the Harvard team setup 18
hives at three locations in Massachusetts. At
each location, four hives were fed high fructose
corn syrup laced with neoniotinoids and two
were left untouched. Researchers planned to
monitor the hives over the winter since that's
when the die-outs occur.
By the spring of 2013, researchers said half of
the colonies treated with pesticides had
abandoned their hives — the key symptom of
CCD. The ones that were left weren't in good
shape. Their honeybee clusters were very small
and either lacked queen bees or developing bees,
the study noted. Only one of the untreated
colonies was lost, and in that case the bees'
bodies were actually inside their hives and
showed symptoms that appeared to be caused
by a type of parasite.
Bulletin of Insectology
A chart shows the diminishing number of bees in
imidacloprid- and clothianidin-treated colonies
(the red and blue lines, respectively) between
October 2012 and April 2013.
The new study replicates a previous experiment
done by the same group in 2010. In that study,
the team only tested imidacloprid and found a
higher rate of collapse — 94% of pesticide-
treated colonies disappeared. They think the
disparity might be related to a colder winter,
which stresses the bees and exacerbates the
effects of pesticides.
It's still not clear what role neonicotinoids play
in causing the honeybees to leave their hives
during the winter, but the researchers suggest it
could be "impairment of honey bee neurological
functions, specifically memory, cognition, or
behavior."
It's been previously suggested that
neonicotinoids affect the bees' ability to
remember how to get back to their hives. The
bees get lost, which would explain why
beekeepers usually can't locate the dead bodies.
Study Challenges
Some bee researchers have found several things
to gripe about with this study, including the
small sample size, which was also a criticism of
the initial experiment. At IFLScience.com,
entomologist Jake Bova notes that hive
abandonment is not a definitive sign of CCD.
"Honey bees may abandon their hives for any
number of different reasons, and this study
doesn’t control for any of them."
Other critics have taken issue with the delivery
method of the pesticides. In response to the
2012 study, May Berenbaum, head of entomology
at the University of Illinois, noted to The Boston
Globe that there's been "no evidence of
neonicotinoids in commercially available high
fructose corn syrup" and that fact "undermines
the premise of bees being exposed to pesticides
through the food provided by beekeepers."
Further, The Examiner's James Cooper points
out the study was published in an "obscure
Italian journal" with a measly impact factor
of .375 (for comparison, the journal Science, one
of the most reputable in the world, has an
impact factor of 31.027).
Cooper also said the authors "do not account for
the fact the France still observes CCD each year,
even though they banned neonicotinoids 5 years
ago."
Three neonicotinoids are currently banned in the
European Union, but these pesticides are still
widely used in the United States. Most corn
planted in the U.S. is treated with neonicotinoids
— and while bees don't pollinate corn, they are
exposed to the chemical since the corn's pollen
floats to flowers and other crops nearby.
Our World Without Honeybees
Objections to the study seem to belie the fact
that any research on colony collapse disorder
gives much-needed attention to a global crisis
that puts us all at risk. One-third of the food we
eat depends on insect pollination, mostly by
honeybees that are raised and managed by
beekeepers. There is no good replacement for
honeybees, which are easy to manage in masses
and are unmatched in the variety of crops they
can pollinate — everything from apples and
cherries to broccoli, pumpkins, and almonds
depends on honeybees.
Over the last six years, American beekeepers
have lost 30% of their hives each winter on
average.
The Harvard study comes out just before the
United States Department of Agriculture is set to
release its annual report of winter honeybee
losses. In a media alert, the department said that
losses are "expected to be significant due to
several contributing factors, including exposure
to neonicotinoid pesticides."

Ladies should really be careful. Not all guys you
meet on the social media are genuine, especially
now that too many chatting services are
springing up here and there. Rough guys are
taking advantage, shine you eyes.
Following her nasty experience in the hands of
guys, a young lady, Elizabeth John Adie, has
given oral evidence about how she was gang-
rapéd by a group of men she met through a
social networking site, 2GO.
According to her, the guys picked her in an
ash colour vehicle with unknown
registration number to Aso B area where
they threatened her with knives, searched
her handbag and took her two blackberry
phones, cash of N8,000 and other foreign
currencies, before raping her...
The case was mentioned at the Upper Area
Court, Mararaba Gurku, Nasarawa State. One of
the accused, 22-year-old Agbo Emmanuel, a
school certificate holder has been in police
detention since the incident occurred but was
brought to court on February 11, charged with
criminal conspiracy, intimidation, extortion,
causing hurt and rape, all contrary to sections
97, 397, 292, 244, and 283 of the Penal Code
Laws of Nigeria.
According to the police First Information Report,
the victim reported at the ‘A’ Division Police
Station, in the Mararaba area of Nasarawa, close
to Abuja state on February 1, 2014, that on the
same day at about 13:30hrs at Aso B, one Agbo
Emmanuel and three others, Bright Ochigbon,
Junior Udewenga and Anita, now at large,
conspired and deceived her through the 2GO
social network.
Elizabeth said after taking the items from her,
the rough guys went ahead to rapé her in turns,
adding that she had tried to resist but was cut
with a knife by one of them on her right finger.
The case continues.

Stella Damasus Blasts Critics Over Chibok Missing Girls

Few hours ago, Boko Haram leader, Abubakar
Shekau released a video showing the abducted
girls in an undisclosed bush, promising to
exchange them for arrested Boko Haram
members held in custody by Nigerian security
forces.
The video also played down claims that the
whole kidnap saga of the missing Chibok girls,
which has spurred worldwide protests, was just a
political gimmick and hoax.
Stella Damasus, who was insulted sometimes
ago when she protested the unlawful
imprisonment of the young girls by the terrorist
group, has now come out to slam her critics.
She fumed at those who called her names,
asking, “where [are] all the cowards, ignorant,
uneducated and uniformed twerps who went on a
rampage to insult me and tell me how stupid I
was for talking about the Chibok girls?
“Where are those that have been leaving
comments and calling me names? Those that
were trying to prove that the whole thing was a
hoax and [that] I was spreading lies. I hope you
have seen the latest released video of Boko
Haram and you have heard their demands.
Maybe now you will wake up and join the
campaign. #BringBackOurGirls"

Sensational female Nigerian music artiste, Mo
Cheddah was off the scene for a while until she
make a comeback recently with new single.
In a chat, the pretty music star talked about her
career, style and also debunked rumour that has
been engaged.
You uploaded a picture of you with a ring on your
finger that had people talking. Should we expect
any good news soon?
Lol, it was a normal ring, it didn’t look like that
type of ring. I was wondering why people were
talking about it. But good news, wait for it.
Aside from music, what else are you up to?
Music is me. I am music.
If you weren’t doing music, what else would you
do?
I don’t know. Perhaps a chef because I love to
cook. Perhaps, I’d be a lawyer, because I know
how to make my point. I’m really not sure.
How do you think the industry has changed and
where do you see the future of female artistes in
the industry?
The industry has grown and better now. Nigerian
music is being exported now, it’s great! I see the
ladies doing their thing, they are going strong,
sooner than later they will be peers with the guys
in terms of achievement, better still – supersede.
Is there any fashion trend that you are really
loving now?
Right now, my best trends are metallic shoes,
tops or skirts. I’m all about the easy and playful.
What’s a no-no when it comes to your style?
As for no-no, nothing’s a no-no if you can pull it
off, I like to try new things.
What’s your favourite Naija song to groove to in
a club right now?
I’m not sure, I’m hardly in the club.
You were in South Africa for a while. Is there any
artiste you would like to collabo with?
Yes I was in South Africa and I want to work with
AKA.
Which song of yours are you most proud of?
I’m proud of every one of them.

Nigerian Immigration Replies Davido's Bribe Claims

Top Nigerian music artiste, Davido tweeted some
days ago that he missed his flight to London
because some immigration officers stationed at
Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja,
Lagos harassed him for money.
The Nigerian Immigration Service has now
responded to Davido's claims.
In a statement released today by the NIS Public
Relations Officer, Emeka Obua, the Immigration
stated that on the fateful day, Davido presented a
US passport number 46074 issued at Georgia
on Dec. 14, 2009 and valid till December 14,
2019, but was asked to produce a Nigerian
passport, which he said he left at home.
According to the statement, "the officer now
informed him that he should go and bring the
Nigerian passport to convince him that he did not
enter Nigeria illegally with a foreign passport
without visa. Adeleke started arguing with the
officer, who had to refer the case to his superiors
and the verdict was that he could not make the
trip unless he produced the said Nigerian
passport.
“Livid with anger, Adeleke, in company with his
bodyguards, started protesting in a disorderly
manner, prompting the Comptroller of Immigration
in-charge at MMIA to intervene. He advised
Adeleke to call his bodyguards to order (caution)
and comply with the lawful instruction which
would not only erase any doubt as to his
immigration status but also establish his claim to
dual citizenship.”
Davido was said to have left and on the following
day produced his Nigerian e-passport with
number A02***477 issued at Abuja on August13,
2010 and valid till August 12, 2015.
“This behaviour of Adeleke is quite unfortunate.
One would ordinarily have expected some form of
commendation from him for the professional
manner the officers, who attended to him,
conducted themselves especially in saving him
from embarrassment at some international port
of entry by ensuring that his passport is endorsed
as is the law and practice in Nigeria.
“The intention of this statement is not to to join
issues with Mr. Adeleke but to set the facts of the
incident, as it happened at MMIA on the said day
straight."

Wow: See How Much Wizkid, D’Banj, P Square, Davido, Tiwa Savage… Others Charge Per Show

How Much Wizkid, D’Banj, P Square,
Davido, Tiwa Savage… Others Charge
Per Show D’Banj
The growth of the Nigerian
entertainment industry has seen the
growth in fortunes of the industry’s
biggest game players. Today we take a
look at the highest earners
From Vanguard
D’banj: N6-10M
Take it or leave it, D’banj is still a big
fish in the Nigerian music industry
though it seems he is no longer doing
much in terms of music since his break
up with Marvin records. Koko master
who recently took agriculture to the
studio with his “Cocoa na chocolate” a
move which he said was born out of his
desire to promote agriculture in the
country, collects nothing less than N6-
10 million per show. Tuface: N5- 6M
Tu Baba as he is fondly called shot
himself fully into limelight with his
African queen single. The father of
seven seems to be finding his way into
property business as he keeps acquiring
assets which runs into millions of naira
from different parts of Lagos. The singer
still stands as one of the highest paid
male singers in Nigeria with an amount
which runs between N5-6M
Tiwa Savage—N2.5M
Back then at USA when she was doing
back up singer for Mary J blige, she
might have no idea of what the future
holds for her, maybe she was doing that
then there for the lve she has for music
not knowing that she would soon be
counted as one of the top paid Nigerian
female celebrities. The Eminado crooner,
who is enjoying her honeymoon with her
manager turned husband, collects
N2.5M per show and she is rated as
one of the s*xiest female celebrities in
Nigeria.
Iyanya—N3M
Since his emergence as the MTN
sponsored project fame, this Akwa-Ibom
born singer has been a force to reckon
with in the entertainment industry
generally and in Nigeria precisely. He
shot himself to mailight fully when he
dropped his first hit single, kukere which
a very unique dance steps. Call him a
singer cum dancer, you are not far from
the truth as he knows the dance steps
that befits any track he brings out. This
dude takes, N3M per show.
Davido: N3- N3.5M
Call him a super talented younger
singer, you will not be mistaken as the
dude seems to know what it takes to
produce hit tracks. Since his venture
into the Nigerian music mainstream, the
talented singer has been known for
producing hit tracks. The Omo baba
Olowo as he is fondly called, whose
latest track, AYE, seems to be every
clubs favorite goes for N3.5M per show.
So in case you have plans of landing
this singer to any show, you must be
ready to offer this amount. Flavour—
N3M
He is one of the talented singers in the
industry whose wonderful combination
of native language, Igbo and English in
most of his songs has fetched him more
fans. The Ikwokirkwo crooner whose
news of dating Dillish of BBA The chase
winner, was recently unveiled as Harp
brand ambassador. The deal which
came barely few months when she was
unveiled as Knorr brand ambassador
along side, Nollywood diva, Kate
Henshaw, collects N3M per show.
WIZKID: N4-5M
Wizkid is another young talent making
wave in Nigeria and the world. Wiz Kid
is believed to have signed an
undisclosed multi-million dollar deal
with Akon’s Convict music label and the
deal has set the young artiste as the
4th richest artiste in Nigeria at the
moment. He is said to earn between
N4- 5M
P Square: N8- 15M
Give it to the gifted twin brothers, Peter
and Paul Okoye. The Alingo exponent is
rocking the town currently. Promoters
usually beg them to feature in their
shows due to the fact that if P- Square
graces any concert, the show is sold
out. Their official fee we learnt is 15
million naira.

Abducted Chibok Girls : PSquare Joins # BringBackOurGirls Campaign From St Lucia

“How Angel Of God Rescued Me From Kidnappers Den In Lagos ” – Mother Of 3

After over 24 hours in kidnappers den, a mother of
three identified as Gift Aggor was miraculously
rescued by her guardian angel.
Mrs Aggor said her captors wanted to kill her and
when her hubby, who works with a radio station,
offered them ransom, they declined. They told him
point blank to consider her dead. That was on
March 23rd, 2009 few days to Easter.
Her survival was hopeless until God showed up.
Her experience, she said, is a pointer to the fact
that angels can rescue the 234 abducted female
students of Government Secondary School,
Chibok Maiduguri, who were kidnapped by Boko
Haram gunmen 28 days ago.
Aggor said: “I sincerely believe we should engage
God in prayers for the girl. I know firsthand how
God can rescue the girls if we pray. He once did it
for me and He would do it over and over again,
especially for these girls if we commit them to
Him in prayers.”
“I was preparing to take my family for vacation
and was doing some shopping. On my way to the
market, around Maryland/Onigbongbo, I saw a
taxi parked. I was wondering if to make a detour
when a lady jumped out of the taxi, double-
crossed me and pushed me to the back to the
taxi.”
The operation, according to her, was done so
smoothly that passers-by couldn’t have noticed
anything was amiss. This was despite the fact
that it was around 8am at a public bus-stop. On
entering the taxi, she remembered seeing two
other ladies and the driver. The taxi drove her and
other three occupants for hours without stop.
The seamstress was too dazed to talk. By now,
they had descended on her. Completely perplexed
and helpless, she resorted to the only thing that
came to her mind. “I just started singing and
praying. They had blindfolded me and had
overpowered me. I would only God could rescue
me from them.”
When they stopped at a spot she didn’t know,
she was moved into a building. Fearing the worst,
she simply intensified her singing and prayers. “At
a point, I was thirsty and asked them for water
but they said, ‘since you are a Christian, ask your
God to provide water for you.”
She backed down and heard them making calls to
someone, who she later realised was her
husband, on the phone they had taken from her.
After a long lull, she heard nothing again. Her
fears heightened but she sang the more. Then
God stepped in.
“When I didn’t hear anything again, I was afraid
for my life. Everywhere was quiet and suddenly I
heard a footstep; my scarf was removed. I tried
to look up but couldn’t. Then, I saw a man
standing before me in full white apparel.
“I wanted to talk but couldn’t. The man pointed
to the floor and I saw two ladies lying down,
sleeping. I tried to get up but I could not. Then I
supported my hands on the floor and got up. He
pointed to the floor and I saw my phone. I
immediately took it and hid it in my jean skirt.
When I followed him, I fell on the floor. It was
dark but I could see bushes around. He was
walking while I kept running and falling. We did
that for sometimes until we got to the main
road,” she recalled the turning point for her.
A car was on the other side of the road. Her
mysterious helper, who she insists is an angel,
got into the wheel and she jumped in. The man,
she said, drove until he stopped and motioned to
her to get out.
“When I dropped, I saw a bike and two men
robbing a lady. That was when I came to my
senses. Immediately, they left a lady walked up to
me and asked what I was doing there. I told her I
couldn’t get up and she helped me. She asked
what I was doing and supported me to a taxi
park. That was when I knew we were at the other
side of Maryland.”
Aggor later found out a lady she employed to
work in her shop was behind her abduction.
“Before that day, I had been receiving strange
calls. A number would call and say, ‘do you know
who I am?’ I’d call back but the number won’t
go.”
What a might God!!!!!
We believe the God that rescued Mrs Aggor is
able to free the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko
Haram terrorists..

Boko Haram Threat : Did Nigeria, NAMA Take Down Crashed IRS Airplane?

A team of officials from Nigeria’s aviation
regulatory agency, the Nigerian Civil Aviation
Authority (NCAA) and the Accident, Investigation
and Prevention Bureau (AIPB) has been
dispatched to Niger Republic to probe the cause
of an air crash involving IRS Airline, an indigenous
carrier. A statement by Yakubu Dati,
spokesperson for aviation sector parastatals
yesterday read in part: “The Supervising Minister
of Aviation, Dr Samuel Ortom, has ordered the
Accident Investigation and Prevention Bureau
(AIPB) and other relevant agencies to investigate
the circumstances surrounding the accident.” A
Folker 100 belonging to IRS Airlines, a Nigerian
aviation company owned by Alhaji Ishiaku Rabiu,
at about 7:30pm on Saturday, lost contact at
Ganla and crashed in Niger Republic.
The aircraft marked 5N-SIK and returning from a
C-Check was said to be heading for Lagos when
it crashed few minutes before entering the
Nigerian airspace .
Two crew members on board however survived.
But it was gathered that while international civil
aviation acceptable standards permit only the
country in which the accident occurred to carry
out investigations, the Nigerian Government is
interested in being a party to the investigation,
due to recent terror threats to the country and
that Niger, a neighbouring country, is said to be
a major training and hideout zone for such terror
groups .
Nigeria’s Commissioner for AIB, Dr Felix Abali,
told journalists that aviation authorities had
dispatched accident investigators to Niger
Republic for accreditation to cater for Nigeria’s
interest. Abali expressed the readiness of
Nigeria’s AIB to undertake the task of
investigating the cause of the accident if invited
by the Nigerien Aviation authority.
“We have the capacity and means to conduct the
investigation if so invited,” said Abali.
He stated that AIB was the only independent ac
cident investigation body with flight laboratory in
the sub region and was staffed with highly trained
aircraft accident investigators.
Here is a twist to the story:
Due to the recent Boko Haram threat, do you
think NAMA took down the plane?

UK Sending Troops To Nigeria To Help Find Missing Chibok Girls

The UK hinted yesterday that it could send troops
to Nigeria as part of efforts to rescue the over
200 female pupils abducted by Boko Haram
terrorists from their school hostel in Chibok,
Borno State last month.
UK PM David Cameron made this known just as
Pope Francis prayed for the safe rescue of the
girls.
Cameron, who has also joined the growing list of
global personalities that have enlisted in the
‘‘Bring Back Our Girls,’’ social media campaign,
said while featuring on the British Broadcasting
Corporation’s Andrew Marr show, that Britain
“will do what we can” to help find the female
pupils.”
Fellow guest and Cable News Network Chief
International Correspondent, Christiane Amanpour,
had handed the Prime Minister the sign and asked
if he would like to join the campaign.
Taking it from her, he replied, “Happily.” He later
tweeted, “Proud to support ‘BringBackOurGirls.’
He also told the BBC One programme that he “
rang the Nigerian President(Dr. Goodluck
Jonathan) to offer anything that would be helpful”
in locating and freeing the girls.
Cameron added, “We agreed to send out a team
that includes some counter-terrorism and
intelligence experts to work alongside the bigger
American team that’s going out there(Nigeria).
“We stand ready to do anything more than the
Nigerians would want.”
He said it was unlikely Nigeria would ask for
British troops to help but stated, “I said to
President Jonathan where we can help, please
ask, and we will see what we can do.”
Cameron also spoke of the importance of tackling
extremism around the world.
“This is not just a problem in Nigeria,” he said.
“We’re seeing this really violent extreme Islamism
– we see problems in Pakistan, we see problems
in other parts of Africa, problems in the Middle
East.
“Also, let’s be frank, here in the UK, there is still
too much support for extremism that we have to
tackle, whether it’s in schools or colleges or
universities or wherever.”
He recognised that it was not an easy task to
locate and rescue the girls.
The Prime Minister said, “We can’t just pile in and
do whatever we’d like. “It’s immensely
complicated because they are probably in this
deep area of a jungle that is three times the size
of Wales.
“But it’s good that efforts are being stepped up
and we’ll do what we can.”
The British Foreign Office believes there are “large
information gaps” because of the scale and nature
of the incident.
“The priority for the team in the first instance is
establishing the facts such as the precise
identities of those taken and what has actually
happened to help Nigeria build a better picture,”
an unnamed spokesman for the office said.

Osama Bin Laden Sent $ 3 M To Salafist Jihadists In Nigeria , Trained Boko Haram Leader

The violent sect, Boko Haram and other groups in
northern Nigeria received $3m from Osama bin
Laden in 2002, according to a report by some
United States intelligence analysts.
Bin Laden was said to have dispatched an aide to
Nigeria to hand out the seed money in naira to a
wide array of Salafist political organisations that
shared al Qaeda’s goal of imposing Islamic rule.
According to a report in a United States-based
newspaper, The Daily Beast, the Al-Qaeda founder
helped provide Boko Haram’s seed money.
Boko Haram was founded by Mohammed Yusuf in
2002. Yusuf was killed in police custody in 2009.
The Daily Beast reported on Sunday that officially,
the U.S. intelligence community believed that the
sect had only tangential links to al Qaeda’s North
African affiliate, and that reports of bin Laden
backing the Nigerian outfit were off-base, but
many analysts have believed that the ties
between Boko Haram and al Qaeda global
leadership go much deeper—and are about more
than a little seed money.
“There were channels between bin laden and Boko
Haram leadership,” one senior U.S. intelligence
offical told The Daily Beast, adding that “He gave
some strategic direction at times.”
A comprehensive report on Boko Haram published
by the International Crisis Group, also confirmed
that Boko Haram’s early leader, Mohammed
Yusuf, received some seed money from a disciple
of Osama bin Laden named Mohammed Ali in
2002.
The report added that bin Laden got to know Ali
in the 1990s when he was based in Sudan,
adding that after Ali travelled with bin Laden to
Afghanistan, he was provided with $3m in
Nigerian currency in 2002 and sent to the north of
the country to fund a wide array of Salafist
political organisations to help spread al-Qaeda’s
ideology.
Ali then became involved in the Nigeria’s Muslim
insurgency but was eventually killed.

Nigerian Actor Kunle Afolayan Battles Hypertension , Plans To Relocate Abroad

Hardworking and talented movie producer Kunle
Afolayan told fans last week he has been
diagnosed with hypertension, a medical condition
caused by high blood pressure.
The actor who is currently owing millions of naira
in debt said he is considering relocating to
America, Gambia or Ghana.
Hear Kunle Afolayan in his own words:
“I have been diagnosed with hypertension, so I
should stay here and die because I want to
impress people? It isn’t about people anymore. It
is now about me and my health. I have proven
that certain things can be done in this country
but you have to use blood and sweat. All the
projects I have done, I have had to use these two.
For me to achieve this, whoever is ready to use
blood and sweat too might be able to achieve
same feat. But we don’t have the same strength.
Right now I am overwhelmed in a way and I can
function from anywhere. I can go to Hollywood
and be lecturing African cinema or go to Gambia
and be making film or move to Ghana.”
“I love this country which is why I am still here. I
discourage people form traveling abroad but
health is wealth. I think it is important that I am
in the right frame of mind for health reasons.”
For the record, Kunle Afolayan’s wife and children
are American citizen.

Boko Haram Videotaped Abducted Chibok Girls Converted To Islam – Shekau Wants Prisoners Freed

The leader of the dreaded Boko Haram Jihadi
sect, Abubakar Shekau has released a new video
of the female students kidnapped from their
school hostel in Chibok town, Borno State last
month.
In the new video released on Monday, Shekau
claims he has converted the girls to Islam and
demanded the release of Boko Haram members in
prisons through Nigeria as a condition to freeing
the innocent girls.
The new concerns among parents of the missing
girls is that the deadly sect might have
slaughtered the students who allegedly refused to
convert to Islam since the video showed about
100 girls.
The students fully dressed in Hijab were seen
reciting the Koran.
Shekau said he will keep the girls in hostage until
their members had been freed by the Nigerian
government.
The 17 minute video obtained by AFP is yet to be
released but a preview is available at the end of
this article.
2 of the 100 girls said they were Christian and
have converted to Islam while the others say
they’re Muslim.
The girls reportedly appeared calm and one said
that they had not been harmed.
This is coming 24 hours after Borno State
Governor Kashim Shettima said that the girls had
been sighted somewhere in Nigeria.
An unconfirmed report released last week
disclosed that the girls were spotted in Sambisa
Forest in Borno state.
