Lady Gaga has parted ways with long-
time manager Troy Carter, who helped
launch her career, due to ‘creative
differences’.
The ‘Applause’ hitmaker has parted ways
with Troy Carter – who has worked with
her since 2007 – just days ahead of the
release of her highly anticipated third
studio album ‘ARTPOP’ on November 11. A
source told UsMagazine.com: ‘It’s sad but
also liberating at the same time. One door
closes and another opens .’ Troy helped
launch the pop superstar’s glittering career
after joining her team in 2007 on the
recommendation of Gaga’s Streamline
Records label boss, Vincent Herbert.
The music manager even earned an Emmy
Award nomination in 2011 for his efforts in
producing Gaga’s HBO concert special,
‘Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball
Tour: At Madison Square Garden’. The
news follows the 27-year-old singer’s
bizarre, teary-eyed performance of new
song ‘Dope‘ at the YouTube Music Awards
in New York City on Sunday November 3,
2013.
Gaga launched her latest album with the
release of ‘Applause’ in September, but the
song was outsold by Katy Perry‘s ‘Roar’,
and hasn’t met the success of her
previous hit singles including ‘Just Dance’
and ‘Bad Romance’. Meanwhile, Gaga
appeared to quash speculation she has
split from actor boyfriend Taylor Kinney as
they were spotted kissing at the YouTube
Music Awards on Sunday.
