We are making efforts to stage an event that
will be better than the August National Open
championship.
This event is premised on the Glasgow Games,
which to all intent and purposes is a big event;
we have made appreciable marks in the sport,
in the past,” Laguda said.
The Eagle Belt is a championship for the
current best in all the 10 classes in boxing. We
are gunning for the very best.”
He added that male boxers competing in the
World Boxing Championship would still be
considered first.
